Tim Reardon is a strategic and respected entrepreneurial leader who specializes in developing leaders to achieve better results with fewer resources. Tim is a skilled facilitator and has a track record of bringing people from diverse perspectives together to work effectively on a common goal. Tim guides organizations and community groups though periods of intense conflict and transition by incorporating a theory of Adaptive Leadership and a deep understanding of the natural impact change has on human beings and the natural resistance to change that is a byproduct of leadership. He brings a wealth of experience in government, nonprofit, corporate, health care and educational organizations as well as grass-roots community groups.

 

Tim specializes in the development and training of leadership, results and performance accountability, assessing organizational dynamics, strategic plans, entrepreneurial solutions to social problems, transforming organizational cultures, social policy for children and families, and achieving outstanding outcomes through partnerships and collaborations. Tim brings a deep understanding of the role that race, class, gender, sexual identity, life experience and cultural dynamics have in unleashing people’s potential to achieve better results and lead the transformation of people’s heads and hearts.

Tim’s executive level management experience has made him a leader in innovations to improve results and performance based accountability. He is affiliated with the following professional consulting groups: Public Strategies Group, St. Paul, MN; Center for Business Excellence, University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN; Innovative Learning Strategies, Appleton, WI; and Full Circle Community Institute. Previously, Tim served as the Executive Director of The Bridge for Youth in Minneapolis, MN from 2007-2009; The Domestic Fatality Review Team from 2003-2007; The Alliance for Families and Children in Hennepin County, Minnesota from 1996-2001.

His career began as a social worker for homeless youth and adults. This work with led to his being invited to work for the State of Minnesota in community-based prevention and intervention initiatives. While working for the State, Tim implemented a statewide reform effort of strategic partnerships designed to bring about broad-based systemic changes to improve the lives of children and families. Two awards from the Minnesota Council on Government Innovation acknowledged his work in government reform.

Tim has recently facilitated the strategic planning process for the Minnesota Living Out of Home Network, and facilitated workshops for the Central Minnesota Council on Aging.  He worked to design the reform of services to aging in the Vermont Department of Human Services as part of their Challenges for Change Initiative.

To augment his career and extensive domestic and international volunteer experiences, Tim completed a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, as an Archibald Bush Leadership Fellow. He also completed a Masters Degree in Public Affairs at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He is a licensed social worker and has received awards for his dedicated work and commitment to support the success of children and families. He holds a Masters Certificate in Leadership Development from Harvard University. His academic achievements include an undergraduate degree in psychology and economic/business administration from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota and international studies in Spanish and Liberation Theology from the Universidad Catolica in Lima, Peru.

Tim is an adjunct professor for the University of St. Thomas College of Business, Center for Health and Medical Affairs, Minneapolis, MN; and the College of Management, Master of Public and Nonprofit Administration, at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN. He is currently on the board of advisors for the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship at St. John's University and The College of St. Benedict and served on the board of directors for several nonprofit and educational organizations in the Twin Cities.
