Chuck Lofy

Chuck Lofy has for many years been a professional consultant, trainer, speaker, teacher and counselor.

With William Manahan, M.D., he founded and directed the Wellness Center of Minnesota. Dr. Lofy designed and conducted educational workshops for the center, did individual counseling and fulfilled a demanding speaking schedule.

Chuck Lofy became an independent consultant in 1987, working with individuals and organizations grappling

with change. In this capacity he also trained executives and managers to assist others in transition. Lofy Associates evolved from Dr. Lofy's consultation work and includes the collaboration of his wife Mary Mead Lofy. Chuck Lofy has spoken on the topic of transformational change and team building at more than 25 universities throughout the U.S. He is the author of the book A Grain of Wheat: Giving Voice to the Spirit of Change.

Dr. Lofy began his professional career in academia. For more than 20 years he was a university administrator and professor, holding such positions as vice president for student services, interim vice president for academic affairs, and professor counseling and student personnel. Dr. Lofy studied in Europe for six years, where he learned four languages and completed doctoral work at Innsbruck University in Austria and the Gregorian University in Rome. In the U.S. he earned a Masters degree in philosophy from St. Louis University and did post-doctoral work on the relationship of religion and psychiatry at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas.

Chuck Lofy is a member of the National Speakers Association and the American Society for Training and Development. He and his wife Mary Mead Lofy have three children who are now young adults.
