Bill is a strategy, organization/team effectiveness and planning consultant with more than 30 years of leadership experience in business, higher education, non-profit and government organizations.

He has served clients in multiple arenas, including: consumer products marketing, direct marketing, graphic design, non-profit social services, advertising, manufacturing, foundations, computer services, market research, local and state government, research and development, public and commercial radio, higher education, churches and finance

Areas of consulting strength and experience include:

His previous professional experience includes General Mills, Inc. where he held a number of positions including VP of Human Resources, member of the start up team of Yoplait USA and Director of Organization Development for General Mills. Prior to that he was Manager of Training and Development at Land O’Lakes, and Associate Dean and/or Dean of Students at Loyola University of Chicago, Macalester College and Carleton College.

Bill has a strong commitment to strengthen his community. He has served as Vice Chair of the Minneapolis Urban League, Co-founder and Chair of the Greater Minneapolis Food Bank, Chair of Sabathani Community Center, Senior Deacon of his church, Co-chair of the Minneapolis Initiative Against Racism, Trustee of the University of Dubuque, member of Citizen League study teams and a member of the design and start-up teams of Twin Cities RISE! and the Jeremiah program (long-term workskills/self-sufficiency programs for low-income adults).

Bill’s education includes an MA from Drake University, a BA from the University of Dubuque, and advanced graduate work in counseling and organization psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition, he has extensive training in group dynamics from the National Training Laboratories (NTL) and in Systems Dynamics and Policy Design with Peter Senge at MIT.
