This month, PSGer Bob Stone published an article entitled “Ethics For Bosses” in the May, 2006 issue of The Long Beach Business Journal.
In his article, Bob challenges the prevailing logic that, “Bosses contribute more than subordinates; therefore not only must they be paid more (often much, much more), but in addition their bodies and minds must be nurtured, even what some might call spoiled.”
Bob offers an alternative. “Ethics isn’t always, or even often, choosing between right and wrong. It’s more often choosing between two different rights, or between two different wrongs. And in organizational settings it’s often about choosing between human needs and organizational ones.”.
Bob Stone and the PSG team welcome your thoughts and reactions.
