Kathryn Roberts is our Hero – and not only because, as our first client, she paid our company its first earned dollar in 1992! She is a courageous leader who, for over three decades, has been an innovator and successful leader of transformational efforts in multiple environments.
Kathryn has worked in a variety of Minnesota state and local executive positions, including as CEO/Director of the Minnesota Zoo, the Metropolitan Sports Commission, Department of Human Rights and Department of Economic Security. She doesn’t play politics and is one of just a few individuals to be appointed to leadership positions by Democratic, Republican and Independent governors.

Today Kathryn is leading the transformation of older adult services as CEO and President of Ecumen. This transformation is transforming this large non-profit organization from ‘a nursing home company’ to a company that creates home wherever older adults choose to live.
We have always been impressed with Kathryn’s decisiveness, compassion, and passion for better results. She is tenacious, working tirelessly.
