Issaquah (WA) School District
Trust among teachers, administrators, parents and the community was very low after a labor union dispute. The district engaged PSG to do an independent analysis of the district's management, to prepare the School Board to address budget issues and improve the District's ability to help students achieve success. PSG conducted focus groups and interviews, reviewed district publications and other materials and developed strategy recommendations for the School Board.
MN Independent School District #916
ISD #916 provides specialized educational services (e.g. vocational and special education) to its member school districts who are all located in the suburbs northeast of St. Paul, Minnesota. ISD #916 asked PSG to participate in a strategic retreat with its members to consider the consequences of recently passed legislation that would require the abolition of intermediate districts and their reconstitution.
Minnesota Technical College System
The Minnesota Technical College System (MTCS) hired PSG to assist the technical college presidents prepare for the merger with the Minnesota State Colleges and University (MnSCU) System. Over a period of 8 months, PSG planned and facilitated meetings with 33 college presidents to design strategies for merging with the new system.
MN: Higher Education Board
Through service-oriented restructuring, PSG assisted the Higher Education Board in a complete post-bureaucratic redesign of the merged statewide higher education system, which at the time included 66 campuses. In a second engagement, a Blue Ribbon Commission of Business and Higher Education Institute leaders developed outcome measures for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. PSG staffed the committee and facilitated meetings, working with another staff member from MnSCU.
University of Minnesota - Crookston
PSG worked with the Chancellor and his change team to develop a vision for moving this two-year campus to a four-year baccalaureate institution, becoming the U.S.'s first "lap top U."
