Contract Period: 1993
ISD #916 provides specialized educational services (e.g. vocational and special education) to its member school districts who are all located in the suburbs northeast of St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1993, ISD #916 asked PSG to participate in a strategic retreat with its members to consider the consequences of recently passed legislation that would require the abolition of intermediate districts and their reconstitution.
Results Achieved
The member districts clarified their intentions for the intermediate
district and directed the staff to prepare follow-up proposals.
Specific Activities
PSG completed interviews with key state policy makers, assisted in the design of the retreat and fully participated in the meeting as a resource and provocateur.
